The Ruchottes Chambertin Grand Cru 2017, from the chalky soils of Gevrey-Chambertin, is a Pinot Noir of rare precision. Its aromas of cherry and spices combine with a lively palate, silky tannins and a mineral finish. Perfect for 15 years of cellaring, it pairs beautifully with red meats and cheeses.
Domaine Armand Rousseau Nestled in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, this family estate has embodied Burgundian excellence for nearly a century, blending tradition and precision. - Terroir : Exceptional plots in the Côte de Nuits, where chalky and marly soils shape wines of rare minerality and elegance. - Vinification : A respectful approach, combining oak barrel ageing and patience, to reveal the purity of Pinot Noir. Tasting notes for Domaine Armand Rousseau Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2017 To the eye – A deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture, like a liquid velvet capturing the light. On the nose – First aromas of black cherry and fresh raspberry, followed by notes of violet and liquorice, before a mineral, almost chalky touch underlines the complexity of the terroir. On the palate – A lively and precise attack, where the chiselled acidity meets fine and tight tannins, while a saline minerality carries a long and elegant finish, marked by nuances of undergrowth and gentle spices. To be served between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its full depth. Vintage 2017 A vintage marked by remarkable freshness and rare balance, where the ripeness of the grapes combines with a vibrant acidity for wines of great tension. - Ageing potential : To be cellared for 15 to 20 years in a cool and humid cellar, away from temperature variations.
