From the gravels of Pessac-Léognan, the Bahans Haut-Brion 1998 is the second wine of Château Haut-Brion. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, it reveals notes of blackberry and cedar. On the palate, rich and taut, it combines black fruits and minerality. Perfect with duck breast.

Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion Bahans Haut-Brion 1998
In the glass: Deep garnet robe, of a chalky density, revealing still-vibrant ruby reflections.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry, followed by deeper notes of blonde tobacco, aged leather, and a saline hint of graphite.
On the palate: Silky texture, carried by taut acidity and stony minerality, with a long finish where gentle spices and candied black fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by optimal ripeness, yielding structured wines of great harmony.
