Haut Brion 1990
The Château Haut-Brion 1990, Premier Grand Cru Classé, comes from the gravels and clays of Pessac-Léognan. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, aged in new barrels, it combines blackcurrant, tobacco and truffle with a silky texture. To be enjoyed through 2040 alongside a hare stew.
Château Haut-Brion

Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion 1990
- To the eye : A garnet red robe with brick-tinged hues, dense and luminous, revealing a silky texture from the very first glance.
- On the nose : A generous bouquet blending ripe blackcurrant, black truffle, toasted cedar and a hint of blonde tobacco, carried by a subtle mineral saltiness.
- On the palate : A velvety attack, supple yet present tannins, a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that extend the finish into a long aromatic persistence.
Serve at 16°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
1990 Vintage
A sun-drenched vintage, marked by a hot and dry summer, where the ripeness of the grapes gave birth to a wine of balanced richness and great longevity.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed through 2040, provided it is stored under optimal conditions – a cool cellar, away from light and vibrations.
