Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion 1971
To the eye: Garnet red robe with tiled reflections, a silky texture and a velvety depth.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry, followed by notes of blonde tobacco, aged leather and a saline hint reminiscent of graphite.
On the palate: A supple attack and delicate tannins, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a harmonious and persistent finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to reveal its full complexity.
