Bart Santenay En Bievau 2016 blanc from Domaine Bart, born on the clay-limestone slopes of Santenay. This Chardonnay aged in oak barrels marries white fruits and chalky minerality, with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, lively and precise, it lingers with elegance. Ideal with shellfish or within 4 years.
A family estate rooted in Marsannay-la-Côte, where the Burgundian heritage is passed down with precision.
- Terroir: clay-limestone soils of the AOC Santenay, in the south of the Côte de Beaune, where the Chardonnay draws its minerality and tension.
- Vinification: aged in oak barrels for an expression that is both fruity and structured, without excessive oak.
To the eye: a golden robe with green highlights, of silky clarity.
On the nose: notes of ripe apple, hawthorn blossom, and toasted hazelnut, lifted by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate: an ample yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a persistent minerality, with a long and elegant finish.
Serve between 12 and 14°C, in a white Burgundy wine glass.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration meet.
- Ageing potential: to be enjoyed until 2026, stored in cool conditions away from light.
