The Marsannay Les Champs Salomon 2023 from Domaine Bart, from the clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, expresses the elegance of Pinot Noir. With aromas of cherries and a fresh, mineral palate, it will pair beautifully with meats and cheeses until 2034.
Rooted for five generations in Marsannay, Domaine Bart cultivates a family heritage where precision and respect for the terroir guide each cuvée.
- Terroir : The vines flourish on the chalky slopes of the Marsannay appellation, in the Côte de Nuits, where the well-drained, chalky soils impart a distinctive minerality and natural elegance to the wines.
- Vinification : A traditional approach, combining gentle maceration and ageing in oak barrels, preserves the purity of the fruit while sculpting silky tannins and a taut structure.
- To the eye : A deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous density.
- On the nose : First, fresh aromas of black cherry and violet, followed by deeper notes of wild blackberry, liquorice and a saline touch reminiscent of damp undergrowth.
- On the palate : A lively and precise attack, carried by an elegant acidity and firm yet velvety tannins, while a chalky minerality underpins a long and fruity finish, tinged with soft spices.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
A vintage marked by a balanced maturity, where freshness and concentration blend to offer wines that are both approachable and endowed with a fine ageing potential.
- Ageing potential : To be cellared until 2034 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and away from light).
