- Winemaking: Organic, low-intervention methods produce taut, pure wines with great longevity.
Tasting notes for Clos Rougeard Saumur Brézé 2003
Appearance: Golden color with pale highlights and a silky, luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe quince, acacia blossom, citrus honey and struck flint, lifted by a saline touch evocative of Loire breezes.
On the palate: A lively, precise opening, carried by elegant acidity and chalky minerality, leads to a long, mouthwatering finish blending yellow fruit and toasted notes.
Serve at 12°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
2003 vintage
A vintage marked by generous ripeness, in which Chenin Blanc retained its freshness despite the summer heat.
- Aging potential: Another 5 to 10 years in a cool cellar away from light, allowing for harmonious development.
