The Clos Rougeard Saumur Brézé 2009, grown on the limestone soils of Brézé, is a precise and mineral Chenin Blanc. Aged in barrels, it reveals aromas of yellow fruits and white flowers. Its lively and silky palate pairs beautifully with grilled fish or goat cheeses.

A family estate rooted in Chacé, in Saumur-Champigny, where the winemaking heritage has been passed down since 1664.

Tasting notes for the wine Clos Rougeard Saumur Brézé 2009
To the eye – a deep golden yellow robe, with luminous highlights, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose – aromas of candied Williams pear, zests of ripe citrus, dried white flowers, then a touch of acacia honey and a chalky salinity in the background.
On the palate – a smooth yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a limestone minerality that extends into a saline and persistent finish.
Serve between 12 and 14°C, in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to release its nuances.
