A family estate rooted in the tuffeau of Saumur since 1664, Clos Rougeard embodies the rare alliance between winemaking tradition and contemporary exigence.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and chalky soils of Brézé, in the AOC Saumur, where Chenin Blanc draws its legendary minerality and saline tension.
- Winemaking: A non-interventionist approach, with extended ageing in barrel and bottle, producing wines of rare purity and complexity.

In the glass – A golden robe with green highlights, of silky density and crystalline brilliance, like a glint of tuffeau in the light.
On the nose – Aromas of ripe quince, acacia blossom and arbutus honey, followed by a saline touch and a chalky minerality.
On the palate – A smooth yet taut texture, carried by lively acidity and persistent salinity, with a long, precise finish where candied citrus and flint intertwine.
Serve at 12–14°C in a white Burgundy-style wine glass to release its full complexity.
