The Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux Vieilles Vignes 2023 from Domaine Denis Bachelet is born on a limestone terroir. Its vines (1920 and 1961) yield a Pinot Noir with aromas of black fruits and spices, a taut structure and silky tannins. Enjoy now or cellar for up to ten years.
Domaine Denis Bachelet
A family estate rooted in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, where time seems suspended between tradition and precision.
- Terroir: Four hectares of vines in the Côte de Nuits, on limestone soils that shape wines of rare minerality and profound elegance.
- Vinification: Artisanal methods, measured ageing in oak barrels and respect for indigenous yeasts to reveal the purity of the Pinot Noir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Denis Bachelet Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux Vieilles Vignes 2023
To the eye – An intense ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose – Aromas of fresh morello cherry, wild violet and sweet liquorice, lifted by a hint of gunflint and a subtle note of damp undergrowth.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long, saline finish where gentle spices and fine tannins intertwine.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its complexity.
Vintage 2023
A vintage defined by balance, where freshness and concentration come together to deliver a wine that is both approachable and full of promise.
- Ageing potential: 10 years and more; store in a cool, humid cellar, away from vibrations.
