From Brochon, the Denis Bachelet Côte de Nuits-Villages 2023 is a Pinot Noir aged in barrels. Its aromas of dark fruits and spices combine with a fresh and mineral palate. Its silky texture and balance make it a wine for aging (5–8 years), ideal with red meats or aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted at the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, where Burgundian tradition is passed down with rigour and passion.
- Terroir: Four hectares of precious plots – Queue de Hareng, Vignois, Créole – on the limestone and marl soils of Brochon, the cradle of the great Pinot Noirs of the Côte de Nuits.
- Vinification: Full destemming, cold maceration and barrel aging for wines of taut elegance, where fruit and minerality engage in dialogue.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Denis Bachelet Côte de Nuits-Villages 2023
To the eye: A deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: First, aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry, followed by notes of violet and liquorice, before a saline and chalky touch evoking the limestone subsoils of Brochon.
On the palate: A fresh and precise attack, where a lively acidity carries a fleshy and silky substance, while a chalky minerality stretches into a long and mouth-watering finish.
Serve at 14–16 °C in a Burgundy glass to release all its complexity.
Vintage 2023

- Aging potential: To be enjoyed now or cellared for 5 to 8 years in a cool, humid cellar.
