Born in Romanée-Saint-Vivant, this Pinot Noir 2001 from the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti captivates with its nose of black fruits, spices and violets. The palate, both structured and silky, reveals a chalky minerality and a beautiful length. Ideal with game or aged cheeses.

Guardian of an unrivalled Burgundian heritage, this mythical estate embodies the excellence of the Grands Crus of Vosne-Romanée.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of Burgundy's purest and most mineral Pinot Noirs.
- Vinification: Ageing in oak barrels, with absolute respect for the fruit and the nuances of the terroir, yielding cuvées of timeless elegance.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru 2001
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with tawny highlights, silky in texture and chalky in density.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry intertwine with notes of fresh violet, soft liquorice and damp undergrowth, lifted by a discrete saline touch.
On the palate: Precise and taut attack, where chalky minerality marries a lively acidity, extended by a long and elegant finish marked by silky tannins.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage in which the ripeness of the grapes allowed the full expression of the finesse and depth of the Romanée-Saint-Vivant terroir.
