Château Haut-Brion Nestled in the heart of Pessac-Léognan, this legendary estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence since the 16th century, combining family tradition and measured innovation. - Terroir: Deep gravels and clay-limestone soils, typical of the appellation, impart a distinctive minerality and rare elegance to the wines. - Vinification: Rigorous plot-by-plot selection and aging in oak barrels, for cuvées of remarkable precision and complexity.
Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion 2014 Magnum To the eye: A deep ruby robe, of a silky density, where light reflects with a velvety intensity. On the nose: Aromas of blackcurrant and fresh blackberry intertwine with notes of blonde tobacco, cedar and graphite, lifted by a saline and mineral hint. On the palate: A smooth and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a finish of remarkable length. Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
