Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion Haut-Brion 2014
To the eye: a dark red robe with garnet reflections, dense and silky, revealing a generous substance and a crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: aromas of wild blackberry, candied blackcurrant and black liquorice intertwine, followed by a touch of cedar and a subtle chalky note, evoking the gravelly soils of the estate.
On the palate: a velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a saline minerality, while the tannins, fine and polished, extend into a finish of remarkable length.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
