François Lamarche Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots 1994
The François Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots 1994, born on the limestone soils of Vosne-Romanée, reveals a Pinot Noir of great elegance. With aromas of cherry, spices and undergrowth, it captivates with its silky and mineral palate. Ideal with game or creamy cheeses.
Domaine François Lamarche
Heir to a two-hundred-year-old viticultural tradition, Domaine François Lamarche embodies the excellence of Vosne-Romanée wines, where every cuvée reflects the soul of an exceptional terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of Burgundy's great Pinot Noirs, shaping wines of mineral elegance and rare depth.
- Winemaking: A fruit-respectful approach, aging in oak barrels for a silky structure and a pure expression of the grape variety and the climat.
Tasting notes for François Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots 1994
To the eye: A garnet robe with tawny highlights, of velvety density where light dances with a generous and serene substance.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, damp undergrowth, gentle liquorice and black truffle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of blonde tobacco.
On the palate: A silky and taut texture, where lively acidity marries a chalky minerality, prolonged by a long and harmonious finish marked by notes of leather and gentle spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to unlock its full complexity.
Vintage 1994
A vintage of ripeness and balance, where the cool Burgundian nights preserved the tension of the Pinot Noir while allowing a rich and nuanced aromatic expression.
- Aging potential: At its peak today, this wine can still be kept for 5 to 10 years under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
