Tasting notes for François Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Chaumes 1989
To the eye: a garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky and deep texture.
On the nose: aromas of black cherry, violet, and forest floor, lifted by a touch of licorice and a subtle chalky minerality.
On the palate: a velvety attack, vibrant acidity, and a mineral tension that carries a long and saline finish, typical of the great terroirs of Vosne-Romanée.
