François Lamarche Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Les Chaumes 1989
The Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Chaumes 1989 by François Lamarche, sourced from a limestone terroir, reveals notes of cherry and forest floor. This Pinot Noir, at once tender and mineral, captivates with its finesse and persistence. Perfect with roast duck or to cellar for greater complexity.

Tasting notes for François Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Chaumes 1989
To the eye: a garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky and deep texture.
On the nose: aromas of black cherry, violet, and forest floor, lifted by a touch of licorice and a subtle chalky minerality.
On the palate: a velvety attack, vibrant acidity, and a mineral tension that carries a long and saline finish, typical of the great terroirs of Vosne-Romanée.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 1989
A generous vintage, marked by optimal grape ripeness, offering fleshy and balanced wines.
- Aging potential: still at its peak today, this wine can be kept through 2030 under optimal conditions (cool cellar, away from light and vibrations).
