Château Latour 1983, Premier Grand Cru Classé of Pauillac, born on gravels and clays of the Médoc. This wine, with aromas of blackcurrant, tobacco, and cedar, owes its balance to aging in barrels. On the palate, silky and mineral, it pairs with meats and cheeses until 2030.
Château Latour
Nestled at the heart of the Médoc, this legendary estate, classified Premier Grand Cru, combines a century-old heritage with a tireless pursuit of excellence.
- Terroir: Deep gravels and clays from Pauillac, where Cabernet Sauvignon flourishes into a mineral and powerful expression.
- Winemaking: Aging in oak barrels, respect for Bordeaux traditions for precise and structured age-worthy wines.
Tasting notes for Château Latour Latour 1983
To the eye: A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, dense and slightly veiled by time, revealing a silky texture and generous substance.
On the nose: Aromas of candied blackcurrant intertwine with notes of blond tobacco, cedar, and a hint of damp undergrowth, lifted by a saline and mineral touch.
On the palate: A frank and taut attack, where the tension of the fruit marries a velvety tannic structure, carried by a lively acidity and a long, chalky, and elegant finish.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A classic Médoc vintage, marked by balanced maturity and a structure well-suited to aging.
- Aging potential: To be savored until 2030, or even beyond, provided it is stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
