Marthe Henry Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Fournières 2022, from the limestone soils of Burgundy. This Pinot Noir, aged 18 months in barrel without additives, offers a silky texture, a lively freshness and a saline finish. Perfect with duck breast or mushrooms, it can be cellared for a decade.
Born of a passionate conversion, this family house embodies the alliance between Burgundian heritage and a natural commitment. Rooted in Meursault, the estate tends its vines with quiet exigence, where every gesture honours the terroir.
- Terroir: The hillsides of Aloxe-Corton, defined by clay-limestone soils and a chalky subsoil, bestow upon the wines a distinctive minerality and a taut elegance.
- Winemaking: Without artifice — hand harvesting, fermentation in whole clusters, extended barrel ageing — to reveal the purity of the Pinot Noir.
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with ruby highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Freshness of morello cherry and wild blackberry, evolving towards notes of violet and liquorice, underlined by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate: Precise attack, velvety tannins and lively acidity, carried by a limestone minerality that stretches into a long and saline finish.
Serve between 15 and 17°C in a Burgundy glass to exalt its tension.
A vintage defined by generous ripeness and preserved freshness, offering a rare balance between concentration and elegance.
- Ageing potential: To be cellared for 10 years or more, in a cool and humid cellar, away from vibrations.
