Marthe Henry Pommard Les Vignots 2022 from Domaine Marthe Henry, rooted in the chalky soils of Pommard. This Pinot Noir, aged 18 months in barrels, reveals aromas of red fruits and spices. On the palate, it is precise, lively and mineral. Ideal with red meats or cheeses, to keep for 5 to 8 years.
Born of a Burgundian heritage and a passionate conversion, the Marthe Henry house embodies the alliance between family tradition and modern winemaking.
- Terroir: located in Pommard, in the Côte de Beaune, the estate cultivates clay-limestone soils, rich in white marls, which give the wines their mineral structure and elegance.
- Winemaking: a natural approach – whole clusters, aging in barrels without inputs – to reveal the purity of the Pinot Noir.
To the eye: a deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: aromas of fresh black cherry, violet, followed by notes of liquorice and undergrowth, with a saline touch on the finish.
On the palate: a lively and precise attack, carried by chalky tannins and a taut minerality, stretching into a long saline and spiced finish.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to exalt its complexity.
A vintage marked by generous ripeness, where the summer heat was tempered by cool nights, preserving the tension and freshness of the Pinot Noir.
- Aging potential: to be kept 8 to 12 years in a cool cellar (12-14°C) and away from light.
