The Clos Goillotte 2016 from Domaine Prieuré Roch, a Pinot Noir from Vosne-Romanée, is born on a clay-limestone monopole soil. Oaked, it reveals aromas of red fruits and spices, a silky texture and a persistent minerality. Ideal until 2030, it pairs with game and refined dishes.
Domaine Prieuré Roch
Nestled in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, this estate embodies the alliance of a monastic heritage and exceptional viticulture, guided by respect for the terroir.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils of Burgundy's grands crus, where Pinot Noir flourishes in a balance between power and finesse, particularly in the Vosne-Romanée appellation.
- Winemaking : Traditional methods and biodynamics, with measured extraction to preserve the purity of the fruit and the minerality of the soils.
Tasting notes for Domaine Prieuré Roch Vosne-Romanée Clos Goillotte 2016
In the glass – A deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky density and a brilliance that already announces its tension.
On the nose – First aromas of black cherry and fresh raspberry, followed by a touch of violet and licorice, before a subtle chalky note comes to underline the minerality of the terroir.
On the palate – A velvety yet taut texture, where the lively acidity and salinity of the soils mingle with tannins of rare elegance, for a long and precise finish, carried by notes of undergrowth and sweet spices.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2016
A vintage marked by slow ripening and a perfect balance between freshness and concentration, ideal for wines meant for aging.
- Aging potential : 15 to 20 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity, away from light).
