From the clay-limestone hillsides of Saint-Émilion, the Château Angélus 2017 Magnum is an exceptional red wine. This blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, aged in oak barrels, offers notes of blackberry and spices. The palate, silky and mineral, captivates with its balance. Ideal until 2047.
Nestled in the heart of Saint-Émilion, this family estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence for eight generations, combining tradition and precision.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils and sun-drenched hillsides of the Saint-Émilion appellation, where Merlot and Cabernet Franc flourish in harmony.
- Vinification : Meticulous ageing in French oak barrels, for wines that are both powerful and refined in elegance.
- Appearance : Deep red robe with garnet highlights, dense and of a silky brilliance, revealing a generous texture.
- On the nose : Aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry intertwine with notes of violet and liquorice, before a mineral touch of graphite comes to underscore the complexity.
- On the palate : Velvety attack, fine and tight tannins, carried by a lively acidity and chalky minerality, leading to a long and saline finish of remarkable precision.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full aromatic range.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration respond to each other with precision.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed until 2047, provided it is stored in a cellar with a stable temperature (12–14°C), away from light.
