Tasting Notes for Château Angélus 1985
Appearance – A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density, revealing the maturity and depth brought by time.
Nose – A complex bouquet combining notes of blonde tobacco, candied black cherry, soft spices and a hint of undergrowth, underpinned by a chalky minerality.
Palate – A velvety, almost unctuous texture, balanced by a lively acidity and a long finish, where aromas of liquorice and leather unfold, with a saline hint on the retro-olfaction.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its complexity.
