Tasting notes for Château Angélus 1992
To the eye: Deep red robe with garnet highlights, of a dense and velvety texture, revealing a harmonious maturity. On the nose: Aromas of ripe black fruits – blackberry and blackcurrant – mingle with notes of liquorice, cedar and a subtle hint of vanilla, carried by a chalky minerality. On the palate: A supple and precise attack, where silky tannins envelop a lively acidity, while a saline and persistent finish gives way to spiced nuances. Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
