Tasting notes for Château Angélus 1985
On the eye: a garnet red robe with tawny highlights, dense and slightly veiled by time, revealing a velvety texture.
On the nose: aromas of candied black cherry, blond tobacco, roasted cacao and undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of liquorice.
On the palate: a round and fleshy attack, carried by silky tannins and a lively acidity, with a long and mineral finish where sweet spices and notes of leather intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
