Tasting Notes for Château Angélus 1999
To the eye: A deep garnet red robe with still-vivid highlights, revealing a silky texture and a promising density.
On the nose: A generous bouquet unfolds with notes of wild blackberry and candied black cherry, followed by a hint of black truffle, cedar and a saline touch reminiscent of damp undergrowth.
On the palate: A velvety attack gives way to a taut structure, where precise tannins and a lively acidity support a chalky minerality, for a long and harmonious finish.
Serve at 16°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully reveal its complexity.
