The Auguste Clape Cornas 2017, born on the granite soils of Cornas, is a Syrah wine aged 22 months in foudres. It reveals aromas of dark fruits, spices, and minerality, with a dense palate, silky tannins, and a lively freshness. To be savored with a leg of lamb or game.
Heir to a family expertise rooted in the steep hillsides of Cornas, this estate embodies the rigor of a Syrah carved from granite.
- Terroir: Eight hectares of granite terraces in the Cornas appellation, where the mineral soil imparts a powerful and precise signature to the wines.
- Winemaking: Aging in oak foudres for 22 months, for a classic and structured expression, faithful to the Rhône tradition.

To the eye – A deep red robe with garnet hues, dense and silky, heralding a generous and chiseled substance.
On the nose – First aromas of wild blackberry and blackcurrant, followed by darker notes of aged leather, black olive, and graphite, lifted by a saline and spicy hint.
On the palate – A velvety and full-bodied texture, carried by firm tannins and a lively acidity, where chalky minerality mingles with a long finish, tensioned by a persistent freshness.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy-style red wine glass to release its full complexity.
