Domaine Auguste Clape
A pillar of the Cornas appellation, this family estate has perpetuated for three generations a viticultural heritage rooted in the granitic hillsides of the northern Rhône Valley.
- Terroir: Decomposed granite soils, steep slopes of Cornas – a terroir of character that forges Syrah wines of remarkable minerality and tension.
- Vinification: Traditional method – whole clusters, aging in small foudres, respecting the fruit and the natural structure of the wine.

In the eye: Deep ruby robe with violet highlights, dense and silky, revealing generous substance and beautiful concentration.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry and fresh blackcurrant intertwine with notes of violet, graphite and black olive, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of aromatic herbs.
On the palate: Powerful yet precise attack, carried by fine tannins and a lively acidity that underscores the granitic minerality – long and saline finish, marked by a taut elegance.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy-style red wine glass to release its full complexity.

A sunny yet balanced vintage, where summer heat preserved a beautiful freshness thanks to the cool nights on the slopes of Cornas.
- Aging potential: Keep until 2045 under optimal conditions (cool cellar, away from light and vibrations).
