The domaine de Chevalier 1995, Grand Cru Classé de Graves, is born on the gravelly soils of Pessac-Léognan. This mature vintage, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, captivates with its notes of dark fruits and spices. Its palate, lively and mineral, combines silky tannins and freshness. Ideal with duck breast.
Nestled in the heart of Pessac-Léognan, this family estate has embodied the excellence of the Graves for generations.
- Terroir: Gravelly and clay-limestone soils of the appellation, bathed by a temperate oceanic climate, conferring a distinctive minerality and an elegant tension to the wines.
- Vinification: Traditional methods combining precision and respect for the fruit, for cuvées with a refined structure and a long persistence.
Tasting notes for the wine domaine de Chevalier Chevalier 1995
To the eye: Garnet red robe with tawny reflections, of a silky density and a crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry and blackcurrant evolving towards notes of blonde tobacco, sweet spices, then a mineral touch reminiscent of flint and damp undergrowth.
On the palate: A velvety and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and saline finish where candied dark fruits and soft spices intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release all its complexity.
