Tasting notes for the wine domaine de Chevalier Chevalier 1960
In the glass: Deep garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a velvety texture and a density preserved by time.
On the nose: Aromas of cedar, blonde tobacco, candied blackberry, and undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate: A silky attack, smooth yet still present tannins, lively acidity and chalky minerality, leading to a long and harmonious finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its nuances.
