- Vinification: Aging in oak barrels, respect for natural cycles and a precise blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot for a pure expression of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Château Ausone 1990
To the eye: A deep ruby robe with tawny highlights, of silky density and a brilliance that reveals its age with nobility.
On the nose: Aromas of candied fruit, ripe fig and prune, lifted by notes of incense, flint and a saline touch evoking the chalky subsoils of Saint-Émilion.
On the palate: A velvety and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and persistent minerality, with a long and harmonious finish where soft spices and melted tannins intertwine.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
