La Fleur Pétrus 2009, a Pomerol blend, assembles 91% Merlot on gravel and clay. Aged in new oak barrels, it offers notes of kirsch, chocolate and spices, a silky palate and a mineral finish. Ideal through 2035 with game or truffles.
Nestled in the heart of the Pomerol plateau, this emblematic estate embodies the rare alliance between family tradition and exceptional terroir, shaped by the expert hands of the Jean-Pierre Moueix teams since 1950.
- Terroir : Deep gravel and clay over a ferruginous subsoil, lending the wines a fleshy structure and a distinctive minerality, typical of the Pomerol appellation.
- Vinification : Meticulous aging in oak barrels (50% new), favoring a balance between fruity power and tannic elegance, for blends that are both generous and precise.

- To the eye : A deep garnet robe with dense reflections, revealing a silky texture and a luminous intensity, heralding a rich and velvety substance.
- On the nose : An enchanting bouquet unfolds in layers — first fresh notes of kirsch and candied black cherry, then deeper accents of bitter cacao, dried flowers and blond tobacco, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of star anise.
- On the palate : The attack is ample and generous, carried by ripe tannins and a fine tannic structure, while a lively acidity and a chalky minerality frame a long finish, where vibrant red fruits and soft spices intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its expression.
2009 Vintage
A sunny and generous vintage, in which the summer heat allowed for optimal ripeness of the grapes, yielding a wine that is both powerful and harmonious, marked by a concentrated fruitiness and a velvety tannic structure.
- Aging potential : To be kept for 15 to 20 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C), away from light, to reveal its full complexity over time.
