Nestled in the heart of Pessac-Léognan, this historic estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence for centuries, combining family tradition and unrivalled expertise under the aegis of Domaines Clarence Dillon.
- Terroir : Graves with gravelly and clay soils, where the temperate oceanic climate sculpts wines of distinctive minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification : A meticulous blend of noble grape varieties, aged 22 months in new oak barrels for a precise structure and silky complexity.
Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion 1984
To the eye – A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of medium density but a clarity revealing of its age, where light dances across chalky nuances.
On the nose – First, fresh aromas of ripe blackcurrant and blond tobacco leaf, then deeper notes of cedar and undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate – A velvety yet taut texture, where lively acidity and chalky minerality support a long, elegant finish, marked by silky tannins and a subtle aromatic persistence.
Serve at 16°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
