Nestled in the heart of Pessac-Léognan, this historic estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence since the 14th century, combining medieval heritage with contemporary expertise.
- Terroir : Deep gravelly and clay-limestone soils of Pessac, where the gravelly terroir and the proximity of the Garonne sculpt wines of distinctive minerality and rare elegance.
- Winemaking : Meticulous ageing in oak barrels, respect for natural balances and precise blending to reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Château Pape Clément 2011 Magnum
- Appearance : Deep purple robe with garnet highlights, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance that heralds its concentration.
- Nose : Aromas of wild blackberry and fresh blackcurrant intertwine with notes of cedar, blonde tobacco and liquorice, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
- Palate : Velvety attack, fine and tight tannins, lively acidity carrying a chalky minerality, while the long and taut finish allows nuances of dark fruits and soft spices to linger.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by early maturity and contrasting climatic conditions, yielding wines of remarkable tension and great aromatic precision.
