The Champagne R. Pouillon 1er Cru Le Montgruguet Extra Brut 2021 comes from the chalky hillsides of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. This Premier Cru Pinot Noir, fermented in barrels, offers floral and hazelnut notes. Its mineral and taut palate pairs with seafood or poultry until 2030.

- Terroir: 7.7 hectares spread across 42 plots, on chalky soils of the Vallée de la Marne, shaping wines of distinctive minerality.

Tasting notes for the Champagne R. Pouillon 1er Cru Le Montgruguet Extra Brut 2021
On the eye: A pale golden robe, of crystalline clarity, enlivened by a ribbon of fine and persistent bubbles, betraying a silky texture.
On the nose: First, aromas of white flowers and crunchy apple, followed by a touch of toasted hazelnut and a saline hint, the signature of the chalky soils of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and elegant finish, marked by a subtle bitterness of citrus zest.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a slender champagne flute to preserve the freshness and aromatic complexity.
