The Champagne Grande Vallée Extra Brut from R. Pouillon & Fils draws its character from the chalky soils of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. 65% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 15% Chardonnay, aged in neutral barrels and tanks. Notes of dried strawberries and orange zest, delicate bubbles. Perfect with shellfish, within 2–4 years.

A family estate rooted in the hillsides of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, where the Champagne heritage has been passed down with exacting standards since 1947.
- Terroir: Chalky and clay-limestone soils of the Vallée de la Marne, cradle of Pinot Noir and Meunier with mineral and fruity expressions.
- Vinification: The "Fabrice Pouillon" method, favoring indigenous yeasts and minimal dosage to reveal the purity of the grape.
Tasting notes for R. Pouillon & Fils Grande Vallée Extra Brut
To the eye – A golden robe with pale highlights, animated by a cord of fine, persistent bubbles, betraying a silky texture and elegant tension.
On the nose – Aromas of dried wild strawberry, candied orange zest and spiced notes of nutmeg, lifted by a saline touch and a chalky minerality characteristic of the Marne soils.
On the palate – A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a fleshy substance, where ginseng, dried fruits and a long finish with gunflint accents intertwine.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a champagne flute or a white wine glass to preserve its freshness and complexity.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where cool nights preserved the natural acidity of the grapes, offering a champagne that is both structured and approachable.
