The Champagne R. Pouillon & Fils 1er Cru Le Montgruguet Extra Brut 2019 is born on the chalk hillsides of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. This Blanc de Noirs, vinified in barrels, offers notes of flowers and citrus, underlined by a chalky minerality. Fresh and elegant, it pairs with oysters or fish and keeps for up to 8 years.

Tasting notes for Champagne R. Pouillon & Fils 1er Cru Le Montgruguet Extra Brut 2019
To the eye: a pale golden robe, of crystalline clarity, animated by a fine and persistent effervescence, like a silky veil.
On the nose: fresh aromas of crunchy red apple and juicy mandarin intertwine with deeper notes of dried strawberry and candied lemon zest, lifted by a saline and chalky touch evoking the chalk soils of Montgruguet.
On the palate: a texture that is both lively and velvety, where precise acidity and chalky minerality support flavours of white flowers, ripe citrus and herbaceous spices, leading to a long and flavourful finish marked by a delicate salinity.
To be served between 8°C and 10°C in a champagne flute or a white wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
