The Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2023, born from the Kimmeridgian soils of Chablis, reveals aromas of white fruits and gunflint. Its lively and saline palate, typical of great terroirs, pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, or goat's cheese. Cellaring potential: 10 to 15 years.
A pillar of the great wines of Chablis, this family estate embodies the exacting standards of an exceptional terroir and an uncompromising winemaking tradition.
- Terroir: 7.5 hectares in Premiers and Grands Crus, on Kimmeridgian soils with calcareous marls, shaping wines of crystalline minerality.
- Vinification: ageing in used oak barrels, respecting the fruit and the natural tension of the Chardonnay, without artifice.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine François Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2023
To the eye: a pale gold robe with green highlights, of silky clarity, like the gleam of a stone polished by time.
On the nose: aromas of green apple and Williams pear intertwine with notes of hawthorn blossom, before giving way to a hint of flint and a subtle iodine salinity.
On the palate: a dense and vibrant texture, driven by a precise acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long, saline finish.
Serve at 11°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its full purity.
