Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand cru Les Preuses 1999
The Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses 1999 from Domaine Vincent Dauvissat is born on the Kimmeridgian soils of Burgundy. A mineral nose of flint, a lively and saline palate where sapidity and tension are in perfect balance. Remarkable length, ideal with oysters or noble fish. A white wine built for aging, of rare elegance.
Domaine Vincent Dauvissat
A family estate rooted in the hillsides of Chablis, where the Burgundian heritage is passed down with exacting standards and discretion.
- Terroir: Kimmeridgian soils of Burgundy, rich in marine fossils, imparting a chalky minerality and saline tension to the wines.
- Vinification: Traditional methods, barrel aging to preserve the purity of the Chardonnay and reveal the most faithful expression of the climat.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses 1999
Eye: Golden robe with pale highlights, of a crystalline clarity, revealing a silky texture and a subtle density.
Nose: Aromas of linden blossom, candied lemon, then warm flint and gunflint, underlined by a saline touch and a hint of acacia honey.
Palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a long, saline finish where freshness and depth intertwine.
Serve at 11°C in a white Burgundy wine glass to enhance its purity and complexity.
Vintage 1999
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness and preserved freshness, ideal for age-worthy wines from the great terroirs of Chablis.
- Aging potential: Drink until 2030, provided it is stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
