Les Nourrissons 2012, a Loire Chenin Blanc grown on schist in Aubigné-sur-Layon. Made from vines more than a century old and aged in used barrels, it combines ripe fruit with chalky minerality. Appearance – A pale yellow color with golden highlights and silky clarity, revealing both ripe fruit and the fresh minerality of schist.
On the nose – Aromas of ripe quince, acacia honey and candied citrus zest, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of flint, a hallmark of great Loire Chenin wines.
On the palate – A creamy yet vibrant texture, supported by precise acidity and chalky minerality, leading to a long, delicate finish that balances fruity sweetness with saline tension.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its full elegance.
