Tasting notes for Château Ausone 1982
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with tawny reflections, of a silky density and a brilliance preserved by time.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry, patinated cedar, blond tobacco and black truffle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate: Velvety and taut texture, where lively acidity, chalky minerality and a long finish intertwine, carried by tannins still present but melted.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A sun-drenched and generous vintage, marked by optimal grape maturity, offering a perfect balance between power and finesse.
- Aging potential: At its peak today, this wine can still be cellared for 5 to 10 years under ideal conditions (cool and humid cellar).
