Tasting notes for Château Canon 1973
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density revealing nearly half a century of evolution.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry, candied blackcurrant and damp undergrowth, lifted by a hint of cedar and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: Velvety texture, driven by a lively acidity and a persistent minerality, with a long, spiced finish where liquorice and blonde tobacco intertwine.
Serve at 16°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
