The Clos de la Roche Vieilles Vignes 2010 Magnum from Domaine Ponsot is a Burgundian Grand Cru with aromas of dark fruits, spices and minerality. Born on clay-limestone soils, it combines a silky structure with a long finish. An age-worthy wine, perfect with game or aged cheeses.

A Burgundian institution since 1872, Domaine Ponsot embodies the rare alliance between family tradition and viticultural excellence, rooted in the heart of Morey-Saint-Denis.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marl soils of the Grand Cru Clos de la Roche, where the old Pinot Noir vines draw a chalky minerality and a unique depth.
- Vinification: Natural methods and patient barrel aging to preserve the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Ponsot Clos de la Roche Vieilles Vignes 2010 Magnum
To the eye: A deep red robe with bluish hues, dense and luminous, betraying a silky substance and a rare concentration.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry intertwine with notes of violet, licorice and undergrowth, lifted by a saline hint and a chalky minerality characteristic of the terroir.
On the palate: A precise and elegant attack, where firm yet velvety tannins envelop a lively acidity and a mineral structure, leading to a long and persistent finish marked by a subtle salinity.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2010
A vintage of balance and freshness, where the ripeness of the grapes combines with a vibrant acidity, conferring upon this wine a remarkable tension and a great capacity for aging.
- Aging potential: 20 to 30 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature between 12–14°C and controlled humidity).
