The Clos de la Roche Vieilles Vignes 2004 from Domaine Ponsot, a Burgundian Grand Cru, draws its strength from the limestone soils of Morey-Saint-Denis. This Pinot Noir aged in barrels delivers aromas of red fruits and spices. Fresh and mineral, it can be enjoyed until 2030 with meats or aged cheeses.

Nestled in the heart of Morey-Saint-Denis, this family estate has embodied since 1872 the exigence and fidelity to Burgundian terroir.- Terroir : The old vines of Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, planted on clay-limestone and marl soils, endow the wines with a chalky minerality and a unique depth.- Vinification : Aging in used oak barrels, without fining or filtration, to preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir and its most authentic expression.

- To the eye : A deep ruby robe with purple hues, of silky density and crystalline brilliance that already announces its tension.- On the nose : First, aromas of black cherry and wild raspberry, followed by notes of damp undergrowth, licorice and a saline hint of flint recalling the terroir's limestone soils.- On the palate : A lively and precise attack, where taut acidity marries silky tannins and a chalky minerality, before a long and elegant finish carried by gentle spices and a slight herbal bitterness.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
