Nestled in the heart of Morey-Saint-Denis, Domaine Ponsot has embodied since 1872 the exacting standards of an exceptional terroir and the transmission of a family savoir-faire.

Tasting notes for Domaine Ponsot Clos de la Roche Vieilles Vignes 2011
To the eye: A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, dense and silky, betraying a generous substance and a velvety elegance.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe dark fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant) intertwine with notes of violet, damp undergrowth and liquorice, before a chalky mineral touch underscores the complexity.
On the palate: A precise and taut attack, where the lively acidity and firm yet silky tannins envelop a fleshy substance, carried by a saline and persistent finish of remarkable length.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full aromatic range.

A vintage marked by early ripeness and a rare balance between freshness and concentration, ideal for wines intended for cellaring.
- Ageing potential: 20 to 40 years and beyond, to be stored between 12 and 14°C under optimal conditions.
