Sourced from the calcareous terroirs of Charmes-Chambertin, the Grand Cru 2020 from Domaine Duroché is a Pinot Noir of great finesse. Its aromas of red fruits and chalky minerality combine with a silky, fresh palate. Perfect through to 2035, it pairs beautifully with game and characterful cheeses.
Domaine Duroché
A family estate rooted at the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, where the Burgundian heritage is passed down with precision and respect for the terroir.
- Terroir: Calcareous soils of the Côte de Nuits, combining crinoidal limestone and Comblanchien, shaping wines of distinctive minerality.
- Vinification: Natural approach – unfined, unfiltered – to preserve the purity of Pinot Noir and the faithful expression of the grand crus.
Tasting notes for Domaine Duroché Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2020
In the glass: Deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry and fresh raspberry, lifted by notes of peony and violet, followed by a saline and chalky touch evoking the calcareous subsoil.
On the palate: Velvety attack, lively acidity and taut minerality, carried by a long, saline finish where gentle spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full elegance.
Vintage 2020
A vintage marked by early ripeness and aromatic concentration, while retaining a characteristic mineral freshness.
- Ageing potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
