From the limestone soils of Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, the Duroché 2019 from Domaine Duroché is a Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels. Its aromas of dark fruits and spices combine with an ample and fresh palate. To be enjoyed from 2029 onwards with roast lamb or aged cheeses.
Five generations of family expertise rooted in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, where Pinot Noir flourishes on exceptional terroirs.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of the Côte de Nuits, cradle of Burgundy's Grands Crus, shaping wines of rare mineral precision.
- Vinification: Aging in oak barrels, respect for natural cycles and the pursuit of a pure expression of the grape variety and the lieu-dit.
Tasting notes for the Domaine Duroché Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2019
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with ruby highlights, of a silky and luminous density.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh morello cherry, wild violet and gentle liquorice, followed by a hint of damp undergrowth and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: Smooth and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a limestone minerality, with a long and elegant finish marked by notes of cocoa and soft spices.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
2019 Vintage
A sunny and well-balanced vintage, where the fruit ripeness meets the characteristic mineral freshness of the great wines of Burgundy.
- Aging potential: To be cellared until 2056 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity, and protected from light).
