The Guigal Hermitage Ex Voto 2019 celebrates Syrah on the granitic slopes of Hermitage. Aged 42 months in new barrels, it combines dark fruits, spices and smoky notes with a dense and silky palate. A wine for aging, perfect with red meats and aged cheeses.

Tasting notes for E. Guigal Hermitage Ex Voto 2019
To the eye – Deep ruby robe with violet hues, dense and silky, betraying a rare concentration.
On the nose – Aromas of wild blackberry and fresh blackcurrant, followed by notes of aged leather, sweet liquorice and roasted coffee, before a saline and mineral touch.
On the palate – A powerful and velvety attack, carried by a lively tension and precise tannins, while the chalky minerality stretches into a long and spiced finish.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Burgundy-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2019
A sunny and well-balanced vintage, in which the Syrah from Hermitage reaches optimal maturity without losing its freshness.
- Aging potential: 20 to 30 years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12-14°C) away from light.
