A family estate rooted in Ampuis, at the heart of Côte-Rôtie, E. Guigal has perpetuated since 1946 a winemaking heritage of rigor and precision.
- Terroir: Seven exceptional plots on the steep hillsides of the northern Rhône Valley, where schists and granites sculpt Syrahs of rare minerality.
- Vinification: Patient aging in new oak barrels, respecting natural cycles for wines of silky structure and elegant tension.

To the eye – A deep red robe with garnet hues, dense and velvety, betraying a fully accomplished ripeness and an unctuous texture.
On the nose – Aromas of wild blackberry and jammy blackcurrant intertwine with notes of liquorice, black pepper and blond tobacco, before a saline touch underlines the minerality of the terroir.
On the palate – A powerful yet controlled attack, where silky tannins envelop a generous substance of prune and vanilla, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky finish of remarkable length.
Serve at 16–18 °C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
