The Passe-Tout-Grain 2021 from Domaine Nicole Lamarche, born from the clay-limestone soils of Vosne-Romanée, is a red Bourgogne Passetoutgrain AOC blending Pinot Noir and Gamay. Aged 14 months in oak barrels, it reveals floral aromas, vibrant freshness and discreet minerality. To be enjoyed now or within 3 to 5 years, with charcuterie or roasted poultry.
A family heritage rooted in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, this estate has for a century perpetuated the art of revealing the purity of Burgundy's great terroirs.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of Burgundy's most prestigious appellations, where Pinot Noir and Gamay thrive in harmony.
- Vinification: Traditional methods combining respect for the fruit and precision – partial destemming, controlled maceration in open vats, ageing in barrels for an expression that is both fresh and structured.
Tasting notes for Domaine Nicole Lamarche Passe-Tout-Grain 2021
To the eye – A ruby robe with garnet highlights, of silky clarity, heralding a wine that is at once lively and generous.
On the nose – Aromas of morello cherry and peony mingle with notes of pink pepper and liquorice, lifted by a saline, chalky touch characteristic of Burgundian soils.
On the palate – Velvety texture, carried by a precise acidity and a taut minerality, stretching into a long, elegant finish where nuances of undergrowth and gentle spices emerge.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full aromatic complexity.
