Tasting notes for Château Pétrus Pétrus 1994
To the eye – A garnet red robe with tawny reflections, dense and velvety, betraying a silky ripeness and rare concentration.
On the nose – An enchanting bouquet where wild blackberry, candied blackcurrant, a hint of liquorice and a touch of cedar intertwine, lifted by a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate – A smooth and fleshy texture, carried by a lively acidity and a still-present tannic structure, ending on a long and mineral finish, where gentle spices and dark fruit linger.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
